Computer Repairs Crawley

Computers are electronics that we use to complete our daily task, weather its work wise, personal wise or family wise the computer helps us in all sections. As I have mentioned in a few of my articles, they are to be taken care of, this world doesn’t get cheaper many of us soon won’t be able to even purchase the monitor much less the whole system and that would be very sad on your side not mine, I’ll be fine I know all I should you need to take heed to what you don’t know. Computer is an electronic device which can take input from the user and process this input data and if need, store data or information on storage devices and give output on output devices. It follows the instructions us it is which we input. It takes input through Keyboard, mouse, and then it processes the input data and give output on display screen and store data if need.

Desktop Computer:-

Mostly called personal computer (PC), design to fit completely on a typical desk of an office or a home, it mainly comes with a monitor, a minitower or horizontal casing. Today, mostly casing contains processor, hard disk in gigabytes, built-in modem, LAN port, USB ports and CD-ROM. CPU processing speed has been increasing processing speed can be increase by adding capable RAM, capable BUS, high processor which have high processing cycle, hence more heat is also produced we use heat sinks and fans for the removal of heat from the computer as higher temperature can cause severe damage to the computer, fans are noisy and aren’t much effective so the new trend is liquid cooling. It’s just like a radiator installed for cooling, a liquid is circulated in the heat sink attached to the processor heat is transferred from the processor to the liquid is then transferred to the radiator the liquid is cooled down there and then again circulated to the heat sink. It’s less noisy as compared to fan as high speed processor clocked at higher speed need fan rpm over 7500.

Laptop Computer:

Laptop is a portable computer which can be easily used on your lap. Small enough to fit in briefcase mostly called “notebook”. It can run directly by electric source or on batteries. Most of laptop weighs less than five pounds and are less than three inches thick. Laptop mostly cost more than desktop computers with same specifications, because they are difficult to build than desktop computer. It contains almost things which are in desktop but have built-in LCD, keyboard and mouse. New technology which is introduced in laptop is PROCESSOR: Core i7-2600K Quad Core, DDR3 SDRAM with a memory clock frequency of 100 MHz gives a maximum rate of transfer of 6400 MB per second. Now introduce DDR4, SDRAM. HARD DISK: Seagate Barracuda 1.50TB internal hard drive. BATTERY: Micromanagement miraculous battery 12-hours timing, GAMING GRAPHICES: NVIDIA before GTX 400m series. Another new trend is of gaming laptops let’s take an example of the new alien ware m11x the most powerful 11inch desktop with 1gb NVIDIA 335M graphics, with 7 hours of battery time with Nvidia Optimus graphics switching technology, DDR3 ram.

There are many advantages of laptop and some are it is in light weight and is portable, can be used while traveling, in home or in office. It run on batteries and that’s why it can be used anywhere, anytime depending on batteries. There is no need of external keyboard, mouse or displaying screen.

They are hardly difficult to repair and are more expensive as compare to desktop. If there is any problem in CPU or in graphics then they can’t be repaired by normal technician.

Computer Repair

Before opening the case don’t forget to have the computer turned off and unplugged. Once inside, we have a look around, and see a lot of parts that are unrecognizable to us. We will start from a top to bottom process of labeling parts. First look towards the bottom the big green board that everything else lies on is called the motherboard, it acts like the arteries of a human taking the blood all over allowing the blood places to travel, except the motherboard does this with electrical signals. The motherboard has three cards on it; they are the graphics card, sound card, and modem. They act like the voice, the eyes and the mouth of a human. You can tell the difference between them by how they connect in the back of the computer. The graphics card has a prong plug in, the sound card has a place where speaker plugs can go and modems have a place where you can put your phone line. Next to the left of the cards there is a little chip with a fan on top, this is called the processor. The processor acts like the heart of a human sending blood all over the body, but instead the processor sends electrical signals.Straight above the processor in the little slot is the hard drive. The hard drive acts kind of like the brain of the whole computer, by storing information on it and sending and receiving electrical signals. Finally we have the cd-rom. This is located above the hard drive. The cd-rom is the mouth of the human. Next on the motherboard is three little chips, sitting next to the processor, these are called Random Access Memory, or RAM. The ram acts like the quick storage in the brain it remembers the stuff that you are working on right then. There now that we know the computers insides, I will give examples of problems and explain how to fix them. If the computer when the power is turned on makes beeping noises, and never boots up, that means you have a problem with your RAM. That means probably that you don’t have it in far enough.

If the computer when turned on gives you error messages then your hard drive is messed up in this case you might have to shell out 150 dollars to replace it. When turning on the screen and not getting anything that simply means that your graphics card isn’t plugged in all the way. All this is the way to fix it if you don’t feel like taking it in to a computer repair shop. But if you want to have it done proficiently, and don’t mind paying 200-300 dollars to have it repaired then that might be the better option, these are just a few samples of the problems that can go wrong with a computer, and some of the ways you can fix them. If you can’t do it on your own just remember that there is an option to take it in to a professional, we would be more than willing to help you the best computer repairs Crawley.
